I Lie to Myself Every Morning
I look in the mirror and tell myself:
“I slept great.”
“Today will be one of the best days of my life.”
“I am world-class.”
Some mornings, none of that feels true.
But after decades in real estate and business, I’ve learned something important:
Every success begins as a belief before it becomes a result.
Before you win the listing, you must believe you belong at the table.
Before you build a strong pipeline, you must believe opportunities are available.
Before you become a top listing agent, you must start thinking and acting like one.
Yet many agents wake up and immediately hand control of their day to their phones, bank accounts, empty pipelines, difficult clients, or yesterday’s problems.
They haven’t even gotten out of bed, and they’ve already decided the day will be terrible.
Don’t do that.
Make positive self-talk one of your daily Minimum Standards.
When someone asks how I’m doing, my answer is always:
World-class.
Not because everything is perfect.
Because I’m training my mind for where I’m going—not where I’ve been.
The “lie” eventually catches up with the truth.
Just make sure you’re telling yourself the right one.
To your success,
