STOP “CHECKING IN” WITH YOUR SOI

If you’re staying in touch with your sphere by saying, “I’m just checking in,” please stop.

It’s boring.

It gives people no real reason to respond. It can even make them feel guilty because now they think they owe you a reply.

There’s a much better way.

Send them something useful:

• A helpful housing-market article • A short neighborhood update • A home-value report • A useful PDF or checklist • A tip about taxes, insurance, or home improvements

Then say:

“I saw this and thought it might be helpful. No need to reply—I just wanted to pass it along.”

That feels useful, personal, and pressure-free.

Your sphere does not need another agent “checking in.”

They need an agent who brings value and stays relevant.

Stop asking for their attention.

Earn it.
